Just imagine for a moment... You order a "NEW" pair of glasses. You open the package to find something filthy, with a bent frame, scratched lenses and the top of one lens not even in the frame... You can now probably imagine how I felt yesterday, when I opened this package. These are obviously used, abused and returned. They are scuffed in the viewing areas and have a few deep scratches I can actually feel with the tip of my finger. Covered in a greasy film, makeup residue, or hair grease, or who knows what, but it was difficult to clean off, and way too nasty to try on before a good cleaning. After finally getting them clean, I went to work straightening the frame and getting the lens in properly. They looked better after that, but there was nothing I could do about the scratches. I can see through them okay, but the scuffed areas are like looking through fog, and the deeper scratches are directly in my line of sight while I'm at the computer and it's annoying.I believe I would have liked these if I had received them in a usable condition. They're lightweight and sit comfortably. The lenses have a big look to them and still fit a small to medium face. The bezel set crystals on the sides look like the kind of setting that would fall out quickly, but they appear to have been through a bit of abuse and they are still hanging in there, so perhaps they'll last a while.I've tried a few other ProEyes styles and one of the most irritating things is the earpiece cover. They are always too short and they tend to grab and pull my hair every time I take them off. These don't do that. There's a little guard attached where the plastic cover meets the metal and stops it from pulling my hair. That's very much appreciated. These are the first ProEyes progressive glasses I've purchased that I can actually read small print without having to lift them up to see from the bottom rim of the lenses and that's a big plus. Nobody wants to have to hold up their readers with one hand while thumbing through their papers with the other. No doubt, I would have given a 5 star review if these were a new pair of glasses. But to have received them in such a filthy, damaged, and very much used condition, I hate that I have to give them one star.
