This collection of essays is very prevalent to understanding how current historians are now studying Victorian England. To preface, I bought this book for a class, "Great Britain in the Victorian Age", and I enjoyed reading this book tremendously. The essays cover a wide range of subjects, including politics, social history, religion, gender, morality, and sexuality. My favorite essays were "Should We Abandon the Idea of the Victorian Period?" by Richard Price and "Men and Domesticity" by John Tosh. I think this is an interesting book because it provides a new reflection on the Victorian era.
