I've been using cases over the years just to keep my case posted up on the desk. I decided to give something proper a try and went with this adjustable magnetic stand. I love it. This little thing has a good weight to it. It's still moveable around the desk but I don't worry about it just tipping over. The hold on my 5th Gen Air is perfect. You do need to line it up a little but that gets easier the more often you do it. I will say once placed on my iPad has NEVER fallen off. It actually takes a bit of effort to remove the iPad once placed.The passthrough power works well. It's nice being able to just pull a short plug from the dock to the iPad to take the iPad with me when I need to work on it in hand. In fact it's fairly simple and useful being able to just pull the power plug off the base and then move the whole thing for example into the kitchen for the counter.While it spends most of its time on my desk I've repurposed a small USB A magnetic charging disk to charge my AirPod case. The puck's magnet keeps it in place enough to not shift with I'm placing the AirPod case. This works great and gives me an easy charging spot on my desk.Overall I've been really happy using this every day and feel more inclined to grab my iPad when I need to sketch a project up because it's not sitting cased in an awkward case that I had adding bulk just to give me a kickstand.
